Working as an esthetician or spa professional can be an extremely rewarding career in terms of personal connection and making a difference in the self-worth of your community.
But the truth is, the spa industry can also be particularly exhausting when it comes to energy output and the toll it can take on your mental health and physical body.
As an esthetician and Reiki Master, I’ve been noticing an emerging interest in Holistic Beauty - particularly in the area of personal growth and energy healing - and a desire for estheticians to bring balance & energetic harmony into the treatment room more deeply, both for their clients and themselves.
Spa Reiki Beginnings
A few years ago I created The Reiki Facial for my own clientele. This is a 75 min skin treatment that includes intuitive & energetic healing that works on balancing the body’s energetic system (your Chakras), calming the monkey mind and removing any negative energy in or around the body to promote healing and allow for a stronger, healthier sense of well-being.
But what started as a method to support my clients physical and mental health while treating their skin, we discovered it calmed their busy minds and soothed their physical discomforts to a level that neither of us had experienced before!

Core emotions manifest in our physical bodies, so it’s crucial we merge skin science with a holistic approach to skin health. This is why I developed a specific protocol for The Reiki Facial - an all encompassing Body•Mind•Spirit treatment to get to the spiritual and physical root of your clients specific skin concerns.
This customized spiritual facial includes all the classic steps of a facial with a big boost of REIKI to foster a deeper connection to spirit! It will not just leave your clients skin feeling and looking amazing, it will NOURISH THEIR SOUL!
What Is Reiki?
REIKI is an ancient Japanese method of energy healing comes from the Japanese words "rei" (universal) and "ki" (life energy).
REIKI is based on the principle that energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or possibly emotional pain and in time, these energy blocks can cause illness.
REIKI soothes a busy mind and emotions, provides relief from physical symptoms such as migraines, arthritis, sciatica, asthma, chronic fatigue, hormonal/menopausal symptoms, and insomnia as well as it stimulates the immune system to naturally prevent mind/body dis-ease.
In a word; REIKI is for anyone who needs emotional, physical or spiritual support in their lives.

I discovered Reiki after going through my own personal struggles of reaching a very low point in my life as a single mom that stressed out with a sickly child and dealing with feelings of anger and frustration of my situation. I decided to go on a spiritual retreat to pray and find balance and healing in my life. It was there that I discovered the powerful benefits of Reiki, in particular, soothing outcomes to my mood, anxiety and physical distress. So I continued to take my levels of learning, then offered it as an added service to my Esthetic menu to share it's practical benefits.
As I opened up my heart to the spiritual and Universal Life Force Energy, I found that I was not only providing a sacred space of comfort, but a place of healing as well and I have come to realize Reiki is my true reason for being in this industry.
So many of us in the spa industry are seeing past the superficial beauty ideals our profession is offering. But after offering Reiki in spa and seeing client transformations, I'm convinced real beauty comes from inner healing and simply radiates out - the professional skincare products are an added bonus! I still take great efforts to help my clients look and feel their very best, however from experience, I know that we can only be happiest when we are whole.
I've decided that for me, it is time to bring Reiki into the spotlight for estheticians, spa service providers and clients as an opportunity to extend our impact for deeply regenerative and supportive treatments.
